French keyboardist Domi Louna and Texan drummer JD Beck, arrived seemingly out of nowhere with a Coltrane cover renamed "Giant Nuts," a 4:20 Madvillain medley, and a livestream jam with Ariana Grande and Thundercat. Their 2022 debut NOT TiGHT, released on Blue Note in partnership with Anderson .Paak's APESHIT, Inc., pulled in Herbie Hancock, Mac DeMarco and Busta Rhymes, plus two GRAMMY nominations including Best New Artist. Then they disappeared.

They're back with WHO ASKED?, their highly anticipated sophomore album. Written almost entirely in isolation over two years, the record expands their sonic universe with lush orchestral arrangements, intricate compositions, and—for the first time—vocals from the duo themselves. The result is a wildly original blend of jazz, electronic, indie, classical, and pop that only DOMi & JD BECK could create.
